Brilliant! I'm not sure how I omitted that step, but there was no
mount_sshfs in /sbin.

I'm still having a problem (but seemingly a much more common one)
where the ls command now gives me a "Operation not permitted" error
and Finder is returning the same error as before when I try to access
it.
