I'm mounting a (CentOS aka RHEL) machine from my Mac Pro as root: sshfs r...@somemachine:/ ~/.mounts/somemachine - oauto_cache,reconnect,volname=somemachine
Mounting works fine, I can delve into the file structure in Finder or on the command line. If I try to copy a file to the server, though, a 0-byte file with the proper name gets created, but then I get a permissions error when bytes try to get written. I can delete files off the server just fine. I'm not sure what kind of permissions issue would let me create and delete files, but not write in content... but what I'd like to know is if there are some other command-line options I need to be passing to enable writing to that server as r...@somemachine.
