Ok guys, here is the problem: I think I managed to hose my MacFUSE installation. As a matter of fact, I am fairly certain of it. Now, I need to uninstall it manually (since the remove button does not seem to be working at all) so I can get to a point where I have no MacFUSE at all.
Once I do that, I am going to reinstall it again. BTW, I started down this path because I am running Snow Leopard and I am having issues. Thanks!!
