I had this crazy idea to import applications into a git repository and then mount it with gitfs (for easier distribution and updating). However, it seems as Mac won't start applications that live directly in the root of a mounted filesystem. When I try to start the application, Finder opens a new window with its contents. Is that a limitation of MacOSX or MacFUSE? Is there a workaround (other than putting the application inside the mounted filesystem)?
