I'm a very big fan of MacFuse and sshfs, thanks Amit.
In the intro to sshfs, Amit's wiki entry at
http://code.google.com/p/macfuse/wiki/MACFUSE_FS_SSHFS
it says:
".... you should see the volume on your Desktop and in the Finder
(unless you have disabled remote volumes from showing up in these
places)....."
While it is obvious to some that -if-they-don't-appear- this is a
Preferences issue in Finder, it is not obvious to others.
So, I would add a note that says something like: You can "fix" that by
adjusting your Finder Preferences:
Finder -> Preferences -> General and check the "Connected
Servers" box
