Jon: My server is running RE 5: [DaleMB:~] dale% ssh ilab.ldeo.columbia.edu uname -a Linux ilab 2.6.18-164.2.1.el5 #1 SMP Mon Sep 21 04:37:42 EDT 2009 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
I am not using sftp (or MacFusion), I am using sshfs as shown below: To mount my home dir on my Mac (10.5.8) I use: [DaleMB:~] dale% bin/sshfs-static-tiger ilab.ldeo.columbia.edu:/home/ tic/users/dale ilab-home -oauto_cache,reconnect,volname=IlabHome sshfs: cannot find sshnodelay.so warning: ssh nodelay workaround disabled kextload: /Library/Filesystems/fusefs.fs/Support/fusefs.kext loaded successfully [DaleMB:~] dale% Since I set my Finder Preferences to show "Connected servers" an icon shows up on my desktop. I did not find a way to automatically make them show up in the Finders's sidebar but did find that if I drag the icon from the desktop to the finger it will subsequently show up there, even if I unmount the file system and remount it.... Does the sshfs approach work for you? -Dale On Oct 1, 2009, at 10:10 , Jon wrote: > > I'm having the same trouble (posted about it not too long ago).
