I finally succeeded in un-installing MacFuse by dragging File Systems folder containing MacFuse items (in Library) to Trash. If you don't want to install a later version you can remove the MacFuse Preference pane by going to Library, Preference Panes and then delete MacFuse preference pane. The "Remove MacFuse" button in the Preference pane does not work, at least in Snow Leopard.
