OK, MacFuse and SSHFS is what you want. > I misinterpreted the slogan "The Easiest and Fastest Way to Create > File Systems for Mac OS X", and I thought macFUSE was an application > that would allow me to do this. MacFUSE is indeed the easiest and fastest way to do this. But it is not an application. It is not possible to do what MacFUSE does as an application, and if you don't understand why that is you will have on-going problems. So it's important to understand *why* MacFUSE is not an application before you use it. > As you have pointed out, it is not. > Can you point me in the right direction? I already have. No, what you are asking for is for someone to spoon-feed you. MacFuse is exceptionally well documented. Of course, the documentation assumes a certain background which you apparently lack. There's nothing wrong with that. There's no reason for you to feel stupid because you don't know these things. No one is born knowing these things. But (and you should particularly pay attention to this because it could be the most important thing you will learn from this experience) you should not take offense when someone points out that you do not know these things, even if they do it inartfully. *That* will make you look more stupid than anything else. (It will also make people less inclined to offer help.) So chill, dude. Go do your homework, and then if you still have more questions, come back and ask them. rg -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacFUSE" group.
