MacFUSE does not enable any end-user functionality. It is a developer
component that is used to create file systems that run in user space. I
think you are looking for something else...
Assuming that your external hard drive is formatted with NTFS, you are
probably looking for NTFS-3G (or its commercial counterpart Tuxera NTFS
for Mac), which in turn uses MacFUSE internally. You can find more

I have an external HDD connected and after installing macfuse I still
can only READ whats on the external HDD.
I can copy it to my desktop and edit that folder, but not the actual
external hard drive.
Is there something that I need to do?
