I know that in the wiki you mention that MacFUSE cannot affect things
such as the display but having had a perfectly working external
display (Dell Monitor connected to my MacBook Pro laptop running Snow
Leopard 10.6.5) after rebooting the external display resoltuion went
down to something like 1024x768 (or lower. It's normally 1920x1200)),
the colours were darker, and it would only mirror that of my laptop.

I tried everything to fix it including restoring my monitor to factory
default settings, manually adjusting, trying to put it to a higher
resolution, but nothing worked and it wouldn't take the higher
resolution. I then even uninstalled MacFUSE but the problems remained.
Eventually I performed a complete restore from my Time Machine backup
to the point just before I had installed MacFUSE (3 mins before).
After restoring everything was back to normal.

This is a pretty strong case to suggest that MacFUSE was directly or
indirectly responsible in some form or another. I'm not looking to
assign blame as I know it's a free piece of software and I know have
things back to normal but I would like to point out a serious side
affect that is being caused on some systems such as mine. I'd very
much like to try it out but I'd really need the cause to be pinpointed
before I give it another go.

Would anyone be able to shed some light on why it may have caused
this? I literally just downloaded and installed it earlier today with
the latest official download. Has this been reported as a side effect
by anyone else?
