You seem to be using MacFUSE 2.1.5, not 2.0.4 as you stated (which is a version that I don't believe exists). I also didn't see MacFUSE in the backtrace of the kernel panic... so it's very difficult to know what's going on without opening a kernel debugging session to the machine after it has panicked.

Does the panic occur with the 'stable' version 2.0.2/2.0.3 as well ( http://code.google.com/p/macfuse/downloads/detail?name=MacFUSE-2.0.3,2.dmg )? You can also check if our (Tuxera's) 64-bit enabled version has the same problem: http://www.tuxera.com/mac/macfuse-core-10.5-2.1.9.dmg <http://www.google.com/url?sa=D&q=http://www.tuxera.com/mac/macfuse-core-10.5-2.1.9.dmg>

Here's the trace that gdb symbolized from your panic log, if anyone's interested (it seems that the line numbers are slightly off): Line 307 of "/SourceCache/xnu/xnu-1504.9.26/osfmk/kern/debug.c" starts at address 0x21b50c <panic+445> and ends at 0x21b525 <panic+470>. There's no obvious connection to MacFUSE here. One explanation could be that MacFUSE previously unlocked a lock that is owned by the system, but I don't think it would do that. Another would be incorrect spinlock usage (blocking while holding spinlock). I'm not sure how that would explain the fact that the panic only occurs when you wake the system up.

Anyway, without a reliable way to reproduce the panic it's impossible to say what (if any) role MacFUSE has in it. Please also consider unloading other third-party extensions such as the com.parallels ones to see if that helps.

That is exactly correct. I don't believe I've ever had it panic if I
had unmounted the volume before putting it to sleep.

Also, usually it doesn't panic. When I wake it up, either it's still
mounted, or it unmounts because it lost the connection. However,
almost all panics occur in the situation described. In other words,
in the event that I do get a kernel panic, it's almost always when I
had an sshfs mount active when I put it to sleep.

MacFUSE bug tracker, but googling for that isn't turning anything up.
Can someone point me to it please?
