Do you know what it does?  If you have an NTFS formatted external
drive
and plug it into the USB port of the MAC, you can READ from the drive
but you cannot WRITE to it, create directories, etc.

MAC Fuse (from Google) and NFTS3G
http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/system_disk_utilities/ntfs3g.html
work together to make a seamless way to read/write NTFS external
drives, AND your MAC can still use native Mac formatted drives.

You may want to use it, rather than delete it.
