You might be having a problem if its running the 64-bit kernel. Do this:
uname -a if it ends 'RELEASE_X86_64 x86_64' you're running the 64-bit version and you need an unofficial MacFUSE build which supports 64-bit. if it ends 'RELEASE_i386' or similar (cant remember exact string) then its something else. Hope that helps! -- Rory Sinclair On Monday, 6 June 2011 at 15:19, C L wrote: > I have been using truecrypt successfully on several Macs until the > latest Imac released a month ago, the 3.1 ghz intel core i5 and > running Mac OSX 10.6.7. > > > Each time truecrypt failed and returned the message that fusefs.kext > failed to load - (libkern/kext) link error; check the system/kernel > logs for errors or try kextutil(8). the Macfuse file ystem is not > available (71). > > I am not technical person so I would really appreciate it if someone > could help me on this as otherwise truecrypt is completely unuseable > on this new machine.
