First, Lion is default to and should go 64-bit kernel, Erik's 2.1.9 and 2.2.x build should be okay. Finder has a bug, that's why "allow_other" is required. Note, this is an Apple's bug #7367542. Please note even with "allow_other" MacFUSE will sometimes timeout and die a horrible death.
