I am having this exact same issue since upgrading to Lion.

The exact error message I get is:

NTFS-3G could not mount /dev/disk1s2 at /Volumes/PORTBACKUP because
the following problem occurred:

/Library/Filesystems/fusefs.fs/Support/fusefs.kext failed to load -
(libkern/kext) link error; check the system/kernel logs for errors or
try kextutil(8). the macFUSE file system is not available (71).

Any ideas. I haven't started to fiddle yet so haven't tried the logs
(I was kind of hoping there would be a message on here saying not yet
compatible with Lion or something but can't find one).

cheers
Mark
