JOB TITLE:: Project Manager LOCATION : Quincy, MA DURATION:1 year Contract The ideal candidate will have experience leading interdisciplinary project teams in data warehouse, data cleansing, and data conversion implementations. PMP is required Primary Responsibilities Manage and implement the detailed project plan incorporating multiple workstreams within the project track created for the multi-year effort. Lead teams comprised of business SMEs, BAs, Developers, and DBA in the management, production and review of detailed business requirements reflecting the need to purge, cleanse, and store data in a data warehouse. Facilitate discussion and decision making with business owners to conduct due diligence reviews and business analysis for complex decisions related to large data cleansing and conversion efforts. Maintain current knowledge of the business processes, technologies, business intelligence tool upgrades. Facilitate decision-making process as required across business and IT. Identify and resolve issues, ensure consistency and breadth of communication across workstreams. Direct efforts to communicate results and recommendations to senior management and others. Follow established governance practices including weekly status reports, dashboards, logging/tracking risks and issues, identifying and forecasting resource needs. Identify training needs of team members and plan solutions. Manage the quality of work and successful execution of multiple projects. Establish priorities across projects and communicate priorities and their impacts to business and technical stakeholders. Participate in the development of project solutions to business and technical requirements and issues. Qualifications BA/BS degree in business or related discipline; MBA and/or project manager designation(s) such as PMP. Minimum of 10+ years formal project management experience including 5+ years of experience managing multi-disciplined, multi-year initiatives. Experience building, developing and supporting high performance teams. Experience managing a complex data conversion effort. Knowledge of the principles of data analysis and cleansing. Knowledge of the principls of the code development and quality assurance process. Experience using and building data warehouses. Ability to integrate enterprise-level business drivers and departmental business strategy and manage the project plan accordingly. Ability to form trusted partnerships across all levels of business organization, including senior management. Strong Microsoft Office skill set, to include Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio, Access and proficiency with project planning tools such as MS Project. Prior experience or strong interest in the structure and operation of state and local governmental agencies. Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills. Flexibility to adapt to new technologies and changing work environments.
