Job Description : TechRepublic is seeking an individual with strong web
coding skills to contribute to the growth of one of the internet's
leading sites for IT content & community.

The responsibilities of the Technical Producer include:  
- Managing technical initiatives for TechRepublic and Builder.com
- Maintaining the presentation layer of the sites
- Developing web page prototypes and managing the day-to-day technical
production of web content for the properties

The Technical Producer will be responsible for a wide array of pages
using several publishing tools and technologies, as well as flat-file
coding.  This position requires a strong background in HTML and
JavaScript, and the ability to work independently and as a member of a
team.  The Technical Producer will work closely with members of both the
business (editorial, marketing, etc.) and engineering teams.  

A successful candidate will have:  
- Strong HTML coding skills and solid knowledge of JavaScript and CSS  
- Good understanding of production within the design constraints of the
Web (understanding of platform/browser differences and eccentricities,
bandwidth concerns, etc.)   
- The ability to act as a technical trouble-shooter
- The ability to work with both technical and non-technical business
partners  
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
