We were having printing issues on one of our machines so I turned background printing off in my Quark 5 print dialog box to see if that had any effect. Now I want to turn it back on but the option is grayed out.
We are running Panther with Quark 5 in Classic mode. I have tried deleting and replacing all of the following files but the option is still grayed out. Quark Xpress Prefs (the entire preference folder) Laserwriter 8 driver in Classic system folder Laserwriter 16/600 PPD file in Classic system folder Printing Lib in Classic system folder Printing Preferences system folder I get the option when I log in as the administrator, but if I log in as my user it is grayed out. That tells me it could be a permission problem, but I've run Disk Utility and the sudo sh /etc series of commands and it hasn't helped. Any thoughts? -- Thanks, Beth Fastline Publications Inc.
