Well, then the only other suggestion I can share is what our admins told
us--

1. Make sure you've got your mail program set to use the same LDAP port
that Exchange is running on.  The default is port 389.

2. Set the right base DN name for searches.  Don't know how this is done
in Mail, all I know is it's a funny little name-value pair that tells
your mail program what organization to use.  For example, here at CNET
our base DN is "o=CNET".

Sorry, that's the full extent of my LDAP knowledge.  These instructions
were pulled from our internal FAQ that the admins maintain, to help
Linux and OS X users connect to Exchange.
