Those are called  called favicons. You need to create a 16 x 16 icon 
(Use Graphic Convertor as it can save it in the right format). It needs 
to be saved as a .ico file -- it is a windows format. Put it in the 
main web folder.
Warning: Make sure it looks good first!!! The browsers will pick up 
that you have it and then use it. But if you change it the browsers are 
very slow to use the new one. I guess they cache the old one somewhere 
besides all the usual suspects...Note: you may need to have your isp 
add the handlers and types for .ico files <-- they will know what that 
means.
