Hi Nelson,

Excellent observation. Although I would be one not to have a lot of 
faith in their ratings of digital cameras.  Cameras are too technically 
involved.  Same would apply if they did a review of personal computers.

A typical example of your observation would include the Nikon Coolpix 
950.  While it represents an older generation 2 megapixel camera, I'm 
sure it still outperforms many higher res cameras on the market today.  
However, higher resolution does extend one's capabilities to print 
larger without the image falling apart.
