The on post schools down at Fort Knox in Radcliff are still using Apple IIgs systems and I know they can't replace some of that hardware anymore. Seems like a good place to donate to.

I use to be the librarian for the LAUG Apple II SIG (special interest group) and so accumulated quite a collection of Apple II disks that technically still belong to the LCS. These disks have been stored in my basement for lo these many years (at least 10 years since anybody's even touched them) and now "she who must be obeyed" has issued an ultimatum: Either I find a good home for these disks -- as well as for a couple of old IIGS computers, a few hard drives, a RamKeeper or two and a box of Apple IIGS programming manuals and assorted other books -- or they're all going out on the curb with the next junk pickup. I've managed to hold her off for these past 10 years with promises that some day these things would be worth a _fortune_, but she recently went on eBay and discovered that an old GS is worth, oh, about $9.95, so that argument doesn't hold up any longer. I'm afraid she means it this time. So: If anyone wants a couple of boxes of Apple II 3.5" disks and a couple of boxes of 5.25"s; a working IIGS (maybe two), with monitor, assorted disk drives (3.5 and 5.25), various cards, cables, books, etc., etc., let me know. I suppose the LCS has first claim on the disks, since they were the official disks of the users group. Is there an LCS historian who might want these for archival purposes? If no one steps forward to claim any or all of these items, I intend to dispose of them by the end of this month. I believe the next junk pickup day is Dec. 30 in my neighborhood.
