I forgot to mention one of the biggest advantages of IMAP. All the mailboxes are standard, so you can switch mail programs without having those nasty import/export problems. I also use LDAP for my address book to make that standard between programs. I can switch between Mail.app, Pine, Outlook Express and Mulberry instantly.
