I am going to muddy things up a bit more for you Marta,

Be careful about buying LCD TVs and then using them with a computer.

There are two types of DVI that are used, one for video and one for
computers. If the one you are looking at is only for video (think HD TV
and DVDs, etc.) then it will not be best suited for using with a
computer because the color range it will display is limited compared to
the color range the computer uses. (Using it on your computer you will
think the dark colors will be blocky and the bright colors will be
muted -- because there are not as many colors used in video so the
manufacturers don't make them to be as good as what is needed for
computers).

[in the color range world, numbers in computers go from (0, 0, 0) for
blackest to 255 for whitest in the RGB triple, but numbers in video go
from (16, 16, 16) for blackest to (235, 235, 235) for whitest in the
RGB triple.
bonus tip: if you are making overlays for your video remember those
number ranges and also make sure that no pair of numbers in the RGB
triple has a difference of more than 171 -- this will keep the colors
from bleeding onto each other and make your video NTSC compliant so it
can be safely broadcast on TV]

The tech boards are awash with folks griping about how their very
expensive HD / LCD TV has a crappy picture when it is hooked up to
their computers. Check to make sure that the thing will work with both
DVI (pc) and DVI (video) inputs.

Someday, I will come up with a clever signature line. I am not sure if
I will use it or not, but I will come up with one.
