Hey Folks, I'm sure I've already asked this but, I'm gonna ask again: does anyone have any hints for sharing iTunes music across networks?
Problem: Have music on computer at work. Want to listen to music at home. Want music to be password protected, so that I'm not acting as a source for lots of pirating. Don't want to open up a hole which the IT folks at UofL will get pissed off at. Current Solution: Use iTunes 4.0 at home and work. This version allows sharing across networks without any fuss or bother. Also allows password protection. Unfortunately, it is not an ideal solution, because it is an old version of iTunes. Possible solutions which don't work: RendezvousProxy. Worked up to iTunes version 4.5, broke in iTunes 4.6 and later. I tried using mTunnel tonight (on advice of macosxhints), but found that the tunnel which was supposed to go from my machine at work to my machine at home would scroll by endless errors, most of which looked like Error getting TTL from IN IP4 224.21.27.36 Does anyone have any hints?
