I have Tried and tried to use Konfabulator on my iMac G4 running OS X 10.2.8. However anytime I have it running (a few widgets on the desktop), my machine keeps dialing up the Internet. The only way I can get it to quit this automatic dial up is to Quit Konfabulator. Is there any way to set Konfabulator so that it is not constantly in touch with the WWW? I understand that some of the widgets might not read up-to-the-minute correct, but only what they updated the last time I was on the Internet. Of the three I run (Date/Time, The Weather and Picture Frame) the only one I think needs contact with the Internet should be The Weather. Also I have two Date/Time widgets showing both on my desktop and in the Konfabulator drop down menu.
If I close a widget, where does it go? How do I start it up again? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Anne Cartwright | The next meeting of the Louisville Computer Society will | be August 24.
