John, I agree with your assessment of Microsoft. And I would be glad to use another mail program, however, none of the others work as well at coordinating my schedule as Entourage. I like seamless coordination between mail, addresses and calendar. I don?t like the way Apples? Address Book is set up and the Mail program seems a bit primitive to Entourage. I guess if I keep having problems with it, I will have to switch. I refuse to use Internet Explorer and am now adjusting nicely to Safari.
I just love the way Entourage and my Palm Pilot synch with each other, as well as my other programs.... I work for the largest fire and casualty insurance company in the country, and we are so tight with Microsoft and I can't believe what we go through as a company to get things to work, it is sickening. Just last Wed. we had the wine of a hard drive going bad on one of the servers. You know when the new hard drive was completed and finally going.....the next Tuesday. Several trips by technicians and hours and hours of being on the phone trying to find out why the new install didn't work. No wonder the IT departments love Microsoft, it sure does protect their jobs. Tonight I found a refreshing wisp of air as my son was going to get tickets to Tim McGraw for he and his son in Lexington. In the past the website would allow users with Microsoft's Internet Explorer to purchase tickets, no longer. The only way they could get the tickets was if they used Netscape and the site made it very clear that they would not allow Internet Explorer. This is what is needed, and I applaud those that will take a position as this. Now, this doesn't help you, and I am sorry, but I for one would be scared to death to use a company that puts my computers at such risk, so I guess my reply is uncalled for, and I ask your forgiveness in advance.
