If they are in the Deleted folder, it means you don't want any of them any more, so no need to individually select each one for permanent deletion. There is nothing wrong with a big OE Database file, and everything in it is so quickly searchable with OE's autofill. You will not be able to search in those mail storage folders with OE, and it may be clumsy to search in them with Sherlock.
