It's all pretty rampant rumour. HP are cash-rich, MS are cash-rich. Sun's
price is low, Apple are suggested to need a big kick, Macromedia and Adobe
are looking suscepptible, Borland are cash-rich [I think]. Dell are also
rumoured to be looking to get into the high-end server market properly.

So there have been quite a few suggested options as to how things would
go. One was to suggest Sun and Apple would merge, whereas Dell are
rumoured to be aquiring Sun and MS and EA Arts are supposed to be looking
into Sega. Nintendo are also susceptible.

The only company who seem to not get too mentioned are IBM :) Except that
they're meant to have bought Rational as a defensive measure to stop MS
aquiring them.

So as you can see, there's so much rumour around that more than even usual
is probably based on random noise.

For some reason I assumed a DVD-RW would be able to write too a CD-R. :)
