Trash finder prefs. Trash display prefs. 
Restart and hit  the pram resets as directed by Mr Larson. It may be system 
corruption.
FYI : I had left my 190CS off for an extended period and had a lot of trouble 
getting it to operate again even plugged in. It seems 0s and 1s disappear from 
the hard drive. You might have to do a (gulp! ...)re-install.
