Only slightly off subject ... Several months ago, out of curiosity, I set up a
mail management rule in my email program that automatically routes to a
particular folder all email that contains the word "Viagra," several of its
variant spellings or any of several words commonly used to describe the male
sex organ. The idea was to make it easier to avoid such email, but also to
track just how much spam I receive on that subject.

The result: From April 12, 2003 (when I set up this folder) to today, July 31,
2003, I have received 2074 emails relating to Viagra and/or penis enlargement.
That's an average of 17.7 emails per day on just that one subject. I'd say spam
has gotten out of hand.
