O yes, Jerry, little do you know of my former existence. I indeed was named
thus by my students who put unto my office door the sign:" Kemenate der
Heinzelm?nnchenk?nigin." We played that up for many years. Kemenate is the
name for the room the ladies congregated in during medieaval times, for it
was he only place that was heated, having a chimney -Kamin - thus Kemenate '
and the troubadours came to tell of great deeds playing their lutes, --and
the "Heinzelm?nnchen "was the name of our German Students' Club. While not
actually Leprechauns, they were the little people who did good deeds to their
fellow men and their fellow students, developing teamwork rather than a
competetive attitude which is not conducive to Language learning. You do not
learn a language while silently sitting there looking into a book and
learning words by heart. Knowledge grows by sharing, just like love, if it is
not shared, it shrivels. So we decided to be little helpful elves . It
actually worked quite well. We even had a Heinzelm?nnchen on our stationary!!
After I get my scanner, I shall send you through e-mail one of those lovely
graphics designed by one of my students .
   Greetings from Marta , Heinzelm?nnnchenk?nigin A.D. ( au?er Dienst -
ret.)
