A good apple-menu replacement is MaxMenus from www.proteron.com. It's not as cheap as it should be, but it has all sorts of functionality (putting menus in the corners of the screen (which beats the apple menu, 'cuz there's no need to aim), allowing all sorts of ridiculous overkill (having a separate menu for upper-left and option-upper-left etc.). It's similar to FinderPop for OS <= 9. I like it better than Fruit Menu. As for app switchers, proteron also has LiteSwitchX, which is also $5 too much, but which is a really convenient and versatile app-switcher (much better than the default command-tab, much easier to use than an upper-right-hand-corner-app-list). You might want to try them out. Bill | The next meeting of the Louisville Computer Society will | be January 28. The LCS Web page is <http://www.kymac.org>.
