Unfortunately Troy,

This is a problem that IE (and to be honest many browsers) have. It is
related directly to the resolution of the monitor. If you set the
monitor resolution to be 1024 x 768 instead of 1280 x 1024, you will
find that suddenly the url box has a readable size.

Most browsers were made (the graphics settings) based on a 640 x 480
initial screen setting, this was later set to 800 x 600 in order to
accommodate the "new" monitor sizes. So what to do on the Mac with its
way bigger monitors?

Mostly have patience until the programmers start using a graphics
format that is device-independent (no matter what monitor setting you
use, text boxes, etc will always be large enough to read.) This is
coming!!!!! Eventually.

In the mean time, try using a lower monitor resolution setting or
increasing the system font sizes --- this last won't do too much, but
may help.

                                        Jerry
