Hello Everyone, Thanks for your e-mails and expressions of condolence. Things are hard, but we're getting through Mother's house with 53 years of living...whew! We hope to finish all this by the end of summer, hopefully before. It has surely taught me a lot about leaving a lot of stuff behind for your kids to handle...smile.
Now for my questions: 1. If a printer won't work in OS X, can you still get it to print out of Classic if your computer is running OS X and Classic together? 2. I've heard that you shouldn't compress JPEGs or other types of photos when you are using a back-up tape drive or other back up scheme. Is it true that compressing JPEGs and other image types will corrupt them? 3. In specific designated slots, my G4 will take two ATA-100 hard drives and two ATA-66 hard drives. If you run an ATA-100 in the ATA-66 slot, will it work but just not run as fast? Or, do you have to install only ATA-66 hard drives in those two designated slots?
