Apple has released several updates to go along with their new music
service announced today.

The updates include:

        iTunes
        iPod
        Quicktime

Hit the main site http://www.apple.com/ and download the various ones
you want; iTunes lets you do quite a few things, including browsing and
shopping at the new Apple Music service (internet connection required).
QuickTime is updated to allow AAC encoding and the iPod software gets
updated to let you use it with the new songs you buy.

So far I have not had any troubles with the iTunes and QuickTime
software. I do not have an iPod, so I cannot say if there are troubles
there or not.

Also of note:

In keeping with Bill's recent presentation of cool Free/Share-ware OS-X
applications, try XShelf. It allows you to temporarily save things that
you want to move without having to open multiple folders at once.
It is freeware.
