This hint comes from MacSlash, concerning how to use the new Music
sharing over a network in iTunes 4 (released today by Apple)

                                Jerry

For everyone out there with the OS X firewall turned on: You will see
the computers sharing music but you will not be able to connect,
"Loading USERNAME'S Music" will come up but eventually iTunes will go
back to the Library. Here is why, you can see the fact that the other
computer is advertising its music because that is a "broadcast" message
to all computers on your network.

Connecting to the remote music library however actually requires a
connection to port 3689. Apple forgot to add this to the Firewall
settings in the Sharing prefs pane. To fix this small oversight simply
add a new service in the Firewall tab.

1. Open System Prefs
2. Open Sharing
3. click on Firewall tab
4. click the "New" button
5. in the "Port Name" drop down select "Other"
6. in the "Port Number, Range or Series" dialoge type in 3689
7. in the "Description" type something to describe the new "rule". mine
is simply "iTunes Music Sharing"
8. if the check box is not automaticly selected put a check in it.

9. Connect away!

Apple should have caught this but its a minor oversight I would think
because only a small number of people are probably running firewalls on
their Mac's! Hopes this helps someone out!
