Good morning!
The way I got my manual TCP/IP settings to work was to copy the BellSouth.net
DNS addresses from WHOIS. That way, under DHCP, the request to go to the
Internet doesn't have to go out to BellSouth.net and come back with
connection information. Your request goes right out to the Internet. It sped
up my Internet connection considerably.
I looked them up again today, and these numbers I use for BellSouth.net's
Domain Name Server Address are still valid. They are:
205.152.16.20
205.152.32.20
205.152.0.5
205.152.0.20
