Thank you Lee for that answer. I have often wondered why that is  
myself. I actually thought that it was a piece of shareware causing  
the problem. Because after a reboot and not launching that  
application I had a load of free mem. I just had not asked the question.
And thank you too Russ for asking that question.

  I hope that you have at least a surge protector between all of your  
computers and their wall outlets.
