Is there a free/cheap program that will let me resize the partitions on my external drive?
I have a 160GB external firewire drive, that i had partitioned into two volumes, one 60GB (to match the size of the iBook) for full copy bootable backups, and one 100GB one for extra files and such. Since getting the PowerBook, which has an 80GB drive, i'd like to change the partition sizes on the external to reflect this - 80GB for backups, 80GB for extra storage - i'd like to be able to do this without erasing the drives, as i have my main 36GB iTunes library on the storage volume (i only keep a portion of my music on the portables, and use an applescript to make iTunes check at startup to see if the external library is present, saving space and time). so, any help? i'd rather not spend (much) money if i don't have too, as this is a one time deal. rick | The next meeting of the Louisville Computer Society will | be January 24 at Pitt Academy, 6010 Preston Highway. | The LCS Web page is <http://www.kymac.org>. | List posting address: <mailto:macgroup at erdos.math.louisville.edu> | List Web page: <http://erdos.math.louisville.edu/macgroup>
