iWork 06 is noticeably faster than iWork 05. Features added in Pages 2.0 are well beyond the capabilities of AW 6, of course you must have a need for those features for them to be of value.
I still use Mariner Write and Calc for the heavy lifting, but Pages 2.0 has become the goto app for my SOHO (small office/home office). It is neither Word, nor Quark but a nice little productivity tool. I'm surprised no one has been crowing about iLife 06. As an outspoken critic of iPhoto, iPhoto 6 finally gets it right. If you are an iPhoto person, close this email and rush over to MacTown for your copy. Now you can put your images anywhere you want them?"outside iPhoto Library". View and Edit in "Full Screen", and lots of other nice improvements. However, just because Apple says you can have 250K images in your library is no sign you would really want to do that...jf Note: To use iApps in iWork 06, you also have to have iLife 06. Gottcha!
