Did you check the system requirements for the QuickTime [versions]  
before you did your download?

Installers generally put things where they belong <g>.

I believe v6.0.3 is the correct version of QuickTime for System 9,  
and v7.0.3 is the most recent update for System 10.  If you prefer to  
verify this information, please go to Apple's QuickTime pages and  
check for each (QT) version's system requirements.
