Thanks to all, for help. I think I'm going to upgrade to 10.4 in the 
near future, which should solve the problem. This was for my wife who 
has a sight problem that make finding the pointer difficult at times. I 
did find a down load at www.2point5fish.com called Mouse Locator that 
has helped.
