There is no reason to delete the epson stuff on disk unless software  
is why your current printer is broke or you want to reclaim disk  
space. The install disk for the new printer will install new drivers  
and such for the specific printer you buy. The installer will not  
necessarily "overwrite" any Epson files on disk.

As a matter of course I remove all unnecessary printer stuff from my  
desktop box, but leave everything on my laptop with the notion that I  
might want to print to another printer on location, and might have a  
shot with the default install...jf
