Hi Alex,

Hopefully when you installed Panther, you performed an ?Install and
Archive?.  If you installed Panther using the upgrade option, you may want
to reinstall Panther.

Also, try your flakey mouse on another Mac to test whether the problem moves
with your mouse or not.  And also try a different mouse on your Mac.
