Hi group! Those "obsolete" computers are great if all you want is word processing and data storage. And the first hurdle is the toughest. If you learn how to keep an LC up and running it is not that much more of leap to use a new machine. Use drive setup to write all zeros. Leave the HD in the machine so the disadvantaged can use it. And be generous enough to install an operating system. Otherwise where would you be able to get system 6 today? Typically in the thrift stores the computers have no software.
