I assume you mean a dynamic DNS server. (I also run a caching DNS 
server off my Linux box for the home network.)

The answer to the DDNS question is "yes." I've been registered with 
DynDNS.org since a couple of days after I got the cable connection, and 
it works like magic. I'm at lml.homedns.org, by the way. You can hit my 
Web server to see whether it's working. (It just contains pictures of 
the kids for the grandmothers.)
