Before doing this be sure that your Beige G3 is new enough to allow a second hard drive. Rev 1 Beige G3's won't handle a second drive. The way for you to tell if your machine can handle a 2nd drive is to look at its serial number. If it starts with XB818, then you are good to go. Otherwise Allan's method won't work, 'cuz you won't be able to install a second internal drive.
