Jerry,

Thanks for the link to the new security patch. I am copying it here since
some interested people may have missed it if they weren't interested in the
digital camera string.

Well, M$ finally has released patches for IE on the Mac (OS 8/9 and X)

for 8/9: http://www.microsoft.com/mac/DOWNLOAD/IE/ie5_classic.asp
for X: http://www.microsoft.com/mac/DOWNLOAD/IE/ie5_osx.asp

Note: Apple has released a security notice for Windows IE users with
QuickTime 5.0.2 warning them of a problem that allows for potential
hostile take-overs of the browser while watching QT movies, let your M$
friends know that they need to upgrade the ActiveX control available at
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/qtcheck/ or to upgrade QT to
version 6.0 available at http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/

(Actually this IS mostly M$ fault, they changed the way their browsers
handled external content --- making everyone use ActiveX controls
instead of the old embed tags that we used to use...)

                            Jerry
