I have a JVC digital video camera that I've used with iMovie for several years and have always been pleased with it.
Yesterday I planned to tape some activities to put in a movie, and the screen and the viewfinder both showed vertical lines of various colors, and one white horizontal line that would float anywhere from the top to the middle of the screen. Below is a picture I took with the photo card. The battery is new. Old footage plays fine. When I record, the sound is taped, but the picture is what I'm seeing in the viewfinder. Two weeks ago I had no problem. I've searched the manual and can't find anything. Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong? Last time I had a video camera problem it took two weeks and $60 to find out that it couldn't be repaired, and I think I'd rather go buy another camera than go through that again, but thought I'd seek help from the group first.
